Programmer/Analyst
 
Job Summary
 
As a member of our in-house team, participate in the design, development and support of high-profile applications that support our clients' strategic business initiatives.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
 

Full-time employment position provides opportunity to work with our skilled team of software development practitioners in several key functions, including:

  • Work as part of project team to develop and maintain a growing suite of software products
  • Work as part of project team and individually on customer projects
  • Assist in customer support for all product and project related solutions.

Products and customer projects primarily utilize a custom, internally developed framework as an architectural component for n-tier, .Net based, web applications and e-Commerce sites. Near-term product roadmap related tasks include conversion from ASP.Net to ASP.Net 2.0, new and enhanced application functionality, development of related add-in products, and web services integration.

Solutions largely utilize SQL Server database and provide for integration (import and export) with third-party systems. Design and development work typically follows or extends Microsoft patterns & practices best practices.

 
Technical Requirements
 

The position requires a B.S.C.S., related degree or equivalent business experience. Ideal candidate has 3-5 years development experience and in-depth knowledge of:

  • Microsoft .Net technologies (C#, ASP.Net, .Net framework)
  • XML technologies (XML, XSLT, Web Services)
  • Microsoft SQL Server (TSQL).

Additional skill set requirements:

  • Relational database design and development (e.g. models, tables & stored procedures)
  • Knowledge of multi-tier web application design
  • Knowledge of object oriented development principles (preference for C#)

Experience with, or possession of, the following is considered a plus:

  • Microsoft certification
  • Groupware or portal concepts
  • Working in an environment that supports a systems development lifecycle methodology
  • Formal design techniques in regards to UML and Entity Relationship diagrams.

Consideration will be given to a candidate having experience with Microsoft ASP, JavaScript, HTML/DHTML and some sub-set of the skills identified above.
